This is another spring ephemeral native perennial. The less-commonly-used term “Wake Robin” refers to its bloom time of April to May and the corresponding appearance of the robin. With its snow-white flowers reaching 4 inches in diameter, it’s no wonder its species name is ‘trillium grandiflorum.’ The blooms turn pinkish at the end of their blooming cycle in June.
