After I curated the rainbow primaries, I was happily able to curate two groupings of secondary colors. Remember, these sets were created with everyone’s artist in mind!
Violet: Last summer when I had begun foraging and making ink, I read the recipe for wild grape ink and didn’t know where to find it. When I did find it that same week, I found a LOT of it! It’s rather invasive, but I still only take what I need to make my ink. It’s the most vibrant violet!
Orange: This ink comes from two flowers I grew from seed and nurtured in pots around our house this summer: marigold and dyer’s coreopsis! They’re surely a dynamic duo for this bright orange.
Pink: Earlier in November I finally had time to make ink with pokeberries I grew from seed this year, nurturing on my back patio all spring and summer. It’s the most beautiful, bright magenta. I subbed in pokeberry ink for Hopi Red Amaranthe, which was more orange-red, and I wanted to share this beautiful color with others.
Remember to shake each ink bottle well before opening and painting! Cheers!
All orders will be shipped in 3-10 business days via USPS Priority mail, UPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the item and whether framing was desired. For medium to larger works, and if crating is needed to safely ship, it will be UPS or FedEX. USPS can ship larger works but it is a lot more expensive!
If I anticipate framing will take longer for any reason, I will reach out and let you know! You will receive a tracking number via email once the work has shipped.
If you are in the Fargo-Moorhead area and wish to pick it up, please select STUDIOPICKUP at checkout. I will have a table in the front lobby with your piece labeled for pick-up between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. I will always try to say hello if I am in the studio!
Thank you for supporting a small business!
